SENIOR AND GRADUATION INFORMATION - CLASS OF 2025
Congrats, Class of 2025! Important info on year-end activities (finals, fees, checkout, graduation) follows.
Final Exams - Seniors:
• Dates: Block Days, Thursday, May 15 & Friday, May 16, 2025
• Important Notes:
o Semester final exams cannot be taken early.
o Absences on exam days will result in an "F" for the final exam.
o Final exam make-up will ONLY be held from May 27 - June 5, 2025. Contact
Dr. Sam Stevens, stevens.sam@cusd80.com to schedule your make-up.
o Backpacks are not permitted during the final two days of exams.
o Students must have completed their required 22 credits to participate in the
graduation ceremony.

Correspondence and Transfer Grade/Credits:
• Seniors taking courses off-campus (e.g., Primavera, BYU, or El Dorado through
correspondence, evening school, or Saturday school) must submit official
transcripts to the Registrar, Carol Howe, by Monday, May 5th, 2025, at 3:30 PM to
be eligible for the graduation ceremony.
GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION:
Graduation Name Pronunciation:
• To ensure the name reader says your name correctly, verify which line you are
assigned. Students assigned lines 1,2,5,6 visit Mrs. Meade in C219, 6th period or
after school. Students assigned lines 3,4,7,8 visit Mr. Novak in room C207, 6th period
or after school. Do this by Wednesday, May 14th!
Senior Checkout Day:
• All seniors must be cleared by the bookstore by the end of the school day on Friday,
May 16th, 2025. Failure to settle all outstanding debts will result in your diploma
being withheld until the balance is paid.
NO Graduation Practice:
• Important: Students will participate in the Senior assembly Wednesday, April 30th
and will receive a Point of View instructional video regarding the details of
Graduation at Desert Financial Arena – ASU.
Graduation Ceremony:
• Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
• Time: 2:30 PM
• Location: Arizona State University's Desert Financial Arena, 600 East Veterans Way,
Tempe, AZ 85281
• Arena Opens: 1:00 PM for families (concessions available - card only)
• STUDENT Check-in: 1:30 PM at Mountain America Stadium (Sun Devil Football
Stadium) off Veterans Way (see Check-In Map - link to map if available)
• Important Notes for Students:
o Arrive on time! Allow at least 30 minutes for parking and walking to the
stadium. Arrive late, and you could be removed from the ceremony!
o Parents, siblings, and visitors are not allowed in the student check-in area.
Families should proceed directly to the arena for seating.
o ASU does not permit balloons and noisemakers inside the arena.
o Decorating caps or gowns is not permitted.
o Corsages, flowers, or leis are not to be worn, pinned, or carried. Please
exchange these with the graduate after the ceremony.
o You may only wear hoods, stoles, and cords that pertain to a recognized
school club/organization/society that has received prior approval.
o No cameras, purses, selfie sticks, or unnecessary items.
Student Behavior Expectations and Standards:
• Formal, Respectful Ceremony: Dress business casual; keep gown closed.
Disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal by security escort.
• No Alcohol or Drugs: Do not arrive under the influence or in possession. This
violates policy and will lead to removal from ASU and exclusion from the ceremony.
• No Disruptive Items: Air horns, fireworks, squirt guns, and inappropriate
attire/objects are prohibited.
Ceremony Live Stream:
• The ceremony will be live streamed by ASU. The link will be available on our website
and distributed via ParentSquare the week of graduation.
Clear Bag Policy:
• ASU Desert Financial Arena enforces a Clear Bag Policy. Visit their website for
details.
Diplomas & Ceremony Program:
• Diplomas and keepsake programs will be distributed to students in their rows during
the ceremony after they have crossed the stage and returned to their seats. If a
student has outstanding fees, they will not receive their diploma at the ceremony.
They must pay their fees in the bookstore and receive the diploma then.
Student Line Up List:
• All graduating seniors are assumed to be participating in the commencement
ceremony and will be included on the line-up list.
• Seniors who do not plan to participate must notify Mrs. Leddy in E200 by Friday,
May 2, 2025.
Parking, Accessible Parking & Accessible Seating:
• Please refer to the ASU Desert Financial Arena Parking Map for all parking
information, including accessible parking (link to parking map if available).
Accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Student Row Assignments:
• Graduates must know their assigned Line # and row # before arriving on graduation
day. Row assignments will be finalized in mid-May and released to students once
the seating chart is complete and available in the main hallway.
