Report Absence or Tardy

Student Sign-Out Policy

• Parents or guardians must sign students out in the Attendance Office and present a picture ID.
• Anyone other than a parent or guardian must be listed on the student's emergency information and be at least 18 years old.
• Students will not be called out of class until a parent or guardian has signed them out with the proper identification. 

 Reporting a Student-Driver Release

Please Note: Requires 30 minutes' notice with both verbal and written confirmation.

1. Call the Attendance office (480)883-5003 to give verbal confirmation.

2. Email the Attendance Office

Send an Email to: hhsattendance@cusd80.com with the following information:

• Student Name
• Student ID#
• Date & Time of Release
• Parent/Guardian Name
• Phone number

• The student will be called to the attendance office at the requested time.  They must sign out there to receive a pass to leave campus.

Reporting a Full-Day Absence

• To report full-day general absence online, use the form linked: HERE
• Or in Parent Portal, you can report a full-day absence (this will not allow early release)

 

Please Note:

• Online absence is only for full-day absences; it cannot be used for early releases.
• The parent or guardian reporting the absence must use an email address that is on file for the student.
